Our 'Laboratory of Applied Microbiology and Biotechnology' is specialized in academic fundamental and applied research on the human microbiome (mainly vagina, upper respiratory tract & skin) and how microbiome-based therapeutics can be developed based on microbiome insights. We have a particular interest for lactobacilli in different parts of the human body and expertise in how to formulate these lactobacilli in suitable application forms for different bidy sites and how to run clinical trials to show clinical and microbiome efficacy.
