Join the PRI
The Pharmabiotic Research Institute (PRI) is the biggest microbiome network in Europe, and it unites the community around one shared mission: advance the development of microbiome-based innovations.
PRI acts as the bridge between industry, regulators, and academia, representing the microbiome sector at EU and national level, and helping its members navigate evolving regulatory frameworks, anticipate change, and shape the future of microbiome innovation in Europe.
Why become a member
1. Be represented
PRI engages directly with regulators, policymakers, and European institutions, ensuring that microbiome innovation is accurately represented, scientifically understood, and effectively supported in evolving health frameworks.
This representation is grounded in robust scientific evidence, generated through PRI’s expert task groups and collaborative work with members, and amplified each year through the Pharmabiotics Conference & Partnering Event, the only microbiome conference of development and regulation.
2. Gain regulatory foresight
Stay ahead of shifting EU and national regulations.
PRI continuously monitors, analyses, and translates emerging policies to equip members with the intelligence they need to make informed strategic decisions and accelerate time to market.
3. Access regulatory mentorship & support
Receive confidential, one-to-one guidance to navigate complex EU regulatory pathways for microbiome-based products.
PRI supports members in classification strategy, data requirements, and dossier preparation, and offers targeted training and regulatory science insights that help teams build confidence, avoid costly delays, and bring products to market faster.
4. Join Europe’s leading microbiome network
Become part of Europe’s largest and most influential microbiome community, uniting microbiome-based innovators across One Health sectors, including pharma, food and nutrition, diagnostics, agrifood, veterinary, cosmetics, and contract research and manufacturing.
Throughout the year, PRI fosters collaboration across the microbiome industry through dedicated networking events, expert workshops, and member meetings, culminating in the Pharmabiotics Conference & Partnering Event.
5. Co-create science-based regulation
Collaborate with experts and peers to generate and communicate scientific evidence that informs policy and guidance.
Through working groups, joint publications, and expert task forces, PRI helps regulators understand the realities of microbiome-based product development.
